Rosa persica hybrids have a distinctive red/purple eye – the collection centres on cultivars available in the UK but also includes some from Europe and beyond. The roses are grown in both mixed borders of roses with herbaceous perennials and dedicated “exhibition” beds and pots. A residential garden 180ft long, 25ft wide.

Salvia microphylla is an evergreen shrub found in the wild in south eastern Arizona and the mountains of east, west, and southern Mexico. Microphylla in Greek means small leaved. It blooms heavily in the late spring and autumn although it can flower throughout the year in mild conditions. The National Collection is set in a plantsman's garden just 3 miles from the North Norfolk coast on very free draining soil which is ideal for growing Salvia with over 200 varieties within the Collection dispersed throughout the garden
